Hail! This cave is the benefaction of the 1874, p. 347, which Professor Bhandarkar renders female ascetic Sarpila (Sarpil), disciple of by'apartment'. Childers' Pali Dict. gives ovaraka the Thera Bhayata Vijaya (Bhadanta with the meaning of inner or store room', and Vijaya), together with her venerable kingwoman this explanation fits here also very well.

In the first line of the inscription four aksharas have been lost, the last of which must have been de. As the
half-defaced letter before the lacuna seems to be pd, the whole name was most probably Mugu palita.
