He again meets Bandhuyatta on the coast. 1. This Kadavaka describes how Kamalasiri become disconsolate on the departure of her son. 1. गुणन्नइय-An adjective of सुवपंचमि. The reading of B गुणुण्णइय is preferable. गुणोन्नतिका श्रुतपंचमी 2. gaiara and gqiafo are identical. The change of q to a, as in 84 and मुव for सुत. चिन्तवइ, हियवइ. 4. 'A wonderful story commenced etc. (happened) in Gayaüra, where Kamalasiri was', विचित्तपया-विचित्रयदा. in the line is metrically faulty, as the word सिरि which is compounded with 78T, has to be read in the first half. The belief is prevalent even today amongst uneducated and village women, who, when a relative is on a long journey, cause a crow to fly (of course by scaring or pelting it) and ask it to come back with the relative.
