(52) was Thinking thus, he in whom the thoughtactivity in relation to right conduct produced approached along with his friends the feet of the teacher which were sinless and bent upon absolution. (63) He along with his friends bowed down to that divine teacher and the recluses. And they gave the benediction to attain religion to all of them with due ceremony. (64) They sat on the clean surface of the garden in front of the recluses. And the teacher asked them in sweet tone, "Whence have you come?" (65) When he asked like this, Dharana said "O divine sir, we are .from this place, Moreover, I have a mind to give up the life of a householder. So may the divine lord order what I should do. Then thinking, "What a form he has ! What man "" 85
