________________ Aptavani-8 71 Dadashri: But where did you see the world originating? Questioner: I have not seen it, but nevertheless, does it not go through change? Dadashri: Change itself means, that it originates, stays still, and goes through destruction. That is precisely what change means! So in its elemental form (vastu swaroop), this world does not have any origin, nor does it get destroyed; nothing happens at all. Changes only occur in the condition or state (avastha) of things! Questioner: Is the energy (shakti) of the Atma also an instrumental cause (naimitik karan)? Dadashri: It has nothing to do with it. Why would the Atma have anything to do with that? Do these pharmacists not write down the date the medicine bottle was sealed, say in 1977, and it also tells you that if you have not used it by 1979, that you should discard the contents? Questioner: Because it has lost its efficacy. Dadashri: Why would you need the Atma in that? That is how it all is. Time (kaad) is something that devours everything. Time ages everything, but it also renews things. Change incorporates everything. What is roopantar (change in form)? It means to come into existence, to exist for a while and then to disappear. Questioner: I still do not understand one thing. The origin of the world is said to be since time immemorial, but should not there be a reason for the origin? Dadashri: The main reason behind it is this puzzle. Questioner: But should not there be some kind of energy (shakti) to solve the puzzle?
