छन्दोदर्शनम्
405 गृहीतः, तेन च एतैः सर्वैः दुर्विषयैः मम निष्पन्नं यद् यद् एनः भवति- तस्मात् सर्वस्मादपि दोषात् ता: आपो देव्यः मां पुनन्तु पवित्रं सम्भावयन्तु इति ।
COMMENTARY-SUMMARY TRANSLATION The forbidden food and their essences which are bad by nature, or which are experienced as bad by any of my senses should have been shunned by me. Such things I might have tasted with relish or for the satisfaction of my tongue. I might be having them in my stomach. With the nose, I might have smelt bad odours. All these might have resulted in sin; from all this sin, may the Water-deities purify me who is their own.
दशमी ऋक् । यच्छिश्नेन दुश्चरितं चरितं पुनः सङ्गतं पुनर्यन्म एनः ॥ सर्व तदेनो मम निम॒जन्तु
ता आपो देव्यः स्वमी मां पुनन्तु ॥ १० ॥ पदपाठः – यत् । शिश्नेन । दुःऽचरितम् । चरितम् ।
पुनरिति । सम्ऽगतम् । पुनरिति । यत् । मे। एनः ॥ सर्वम् । तत् । एनः । मम । निःऽमृजन्तु ।
ताः । आपः । देव्यः । स्वम् । ईम् । माम् । पुनन्तु ॥ Whatever forbidden actions might have been committed by my generative organ and whatever sins may be there on account of such actions, may all of them be washed off by the Water-deities since I am their own.
अन्वयभाष्यम् । शिश्नेन जननेन्द्रियेण यतू दुश्चरितं दुष्ट चरितं वीर्यनाशादिकारणीभूतं कर्म यदाचरितं, तच्च अज्ञानेन इन्द्रियपारतन्त्र्येण तथा विषयोपभोगादिलोलुपतया च पुनः पुनः मे सङ्गतं सङ्चटितं यद् यद् एन: अस्ति मयि सञ्चितं तत् सर्वमपि मम दुष्कृतापराधसर्वस्वं ताः आपो देव्यः निZजन्तु निःशेषेण शोधयन्तु, ततश्च स्वीय इमं मां पुनन्तु इति ||
COMMENTARY-SUMMARY TRANSLATION Sins have been committed by my generative organ, mainly due to actions which result in the destruction of semen, may be on account of ignorance or want of control over the senses or it may be excessive and frequent indulgence in sensuous enjoyment.
