छन्दोदर्शनम् यः प्राणैर्भूतानि प्रणयतीन्द्रः
स सत्योऽयममृतो विश्ववेदाः ॥ ८ ॥ गदपाठः- यः । अन्तरिति । प्राणाः । प्राणानाम् । पतिः। परः ।
यः। प्राणेषु । प्रऽविष्टः । ज्योतिषा । अधि ।। यः। प्राणैः । भूतानि । प्रऽनयति । इन्द्रः।
सः । सत्यः । अयम् अमृतः । विश्वऽवेदाः॥ He is indeed the inner präņa, he is the greatest, and the lord of all vital powers. With his conscious power in the form of light, he entered into the prāņas. Indra, the lord of all living beings moves them with the help of the pranas. He is the inner soul, he is the truth, he is immortal and omniscient.
अन्वयभाष्यम् । यः चेतनः आत्मा अन्तः शरीरे हृदये आत्मनि च प्राणा: स्वयं प्राणस्वरूपः प्राणानां सर्वेषां परः श्रेष्ठ: अध्यक्षः मुख्यप्राणसत्त्वः सन् सर्वषां अन्तः प्रतितिष्ठति, यश्च पुनः जाणेषु तेषु ज्योतिषा चैतन्यज्योतिः किरणस्वरूपेण प्रविष्ट: सन् अधि तान् अध्यास्ते, तथा तदन्तः अधिष्ठितः सन् तेषां प्राणानां प्रेरणेन च पुनः तैरेव स्वप्रेरितः प्राणैः इमानि भूतानि प्रणयति सञ्चालयति सचेतनानि भावयति, यः इन्द्रः सर्वेषां प्राणादीनां धीन्द्रियाणां च ईशानः अध्यक्षः इति प्रसिद्धः वेदे, “इन्द्रो ज्येष्ठ इन्द्रियाय" (ना. उ. ७-५) इति च तदनुश्रवणम् , स: अयं अन्तरात्मा स्वयं सत्यत्व • अमृतत्व - सर्वज्ञत्वादिसत्त्वपूर्णः प्रभवतीति ॥
COMMENTARY-SUMMARY TRANSLATION This Atmā is himself all the prånas. He is the lord supreme of all prānas, he is the chief of all prānas. He dwells in them all in the form of life. He moves them and vitalises all these living beings. He is Indra, the lord of all the prāṇas and the senses. He, the inner soul, is endowed with truth, immortality and omniscience.
___ नवमी ऋक् । अयं प्रजानन् अजन्यः सन् अयो ऽयं विश्वथा राजतेऽन्तर्य एकः ॥ अयं स्वराट् सम्राड् विराई विभुः प्रभुरयं सत्योऽयममृतो विश्ववेदाः ॥ ९ ॥
