COMMENTARY-SUMMARY TRANSLATION Purusha held within Himself Vāk (the word) who His shining and godly; she pervades everything and is illuminative. She has three aspects. She is the origin of all knowledge. She is Agneyi when related to Agni of this earth. She is Indrāņi when related to lightning. She is Savitri when related to the celestial fire which is the Sun. With the help of this three-fold Våk, I attain the Supreme Brahma. By bringing them together and securing the grace of the Väg-devatå one attains the Purusha.
सप्तमी ऋक् । सोमेनान्नेन मनसाऽग्निवैश्वानरो यो विद्युताऽद्भिः प्राणैरिन्द्रस्तैजसः ॥ वाचा ज्योतिषा सूर्यः प्रश आत्माऽऽन्तरः
समेन तं पुरुषं प्रपद्ये रसैन ॥ ७ ॥ पदपाठ:- सोमैन । अन्नैन । मनसा । आग्निः । वैश्वानरः ।
यः । विद्युता । अत्ऽभिः । प्राणैः । इन्द्रः । तैजसः ॥ वाचा । ज्योतिषा । सूर्यः । प्रऽज्ञः । आत्मा । आन्तरः । समेन । तम् । पुरुषम् ।प्र। पद्ये । रसैन ॥
The Purusha who is Agni ( the principle of fire) along with Soma, Anna and Manas is the Vaiśvānara within the body; He is Indra along with lightning, water and vital air, and is called Tejas within the body; He is the Prajña Atmā, within the body along with Våk, light and the sun. I attain that Purusha by identity and by being in tune.
अन्वयभाष्यम् । यः परमः पुरुषः सोमेन सोमदेवत्येन अन्नेन भौमेन भौतिकेन मनसा अन्नोदितेन आन्तर्यण करणेन अग्निः पार्थिव: सन् वैश्वानरः स्थूलशरीराधिष्ठित: जाठर: प्रसिद्धः विश्वेषां नराणां आत्मा सचेतन: अस्ति, यश्च विद्युता विद्युद्रपया तेजः शक्त्या अद्भिः वैद्युतीभिः रसात्मिकाभिः प्राणः अप्सत्त्वकैः सह इन्द्रः मध्यमो देवतात्मा अन्तरिक्षाधिपतिः तेजस: सूक्ष्मतेज सत्त्वकः तेजसाभिधानः सूक्ष्मशरीराधिष्ठितः आत्मा अन्तर्हितः अस्ति, तथैव ज्योतिषा दिव्येन वाचा ज्योतिष्मत्या सहित: सूर्यः धुलोकाधिपतिः दिव्यो देवतात्मा सर्वलोकप्रत्यक्षः आन्तरः आत्मा प्रज्ञः प्रकृष्टतमज्ञानसत्त्वपूर्णः प्राज्ञसञ्ज्ञकः कारणशरीराभिमानी आनन्दरसभोक्ता भवति, एवं त्रेधा भावेन तत्त्वत्रितयात्मकेन विभूतिसत्त्वेन सिद्धः यः परमः
