प्रतिसङ्गता असि, तस्मात् ब्रह्मणस्पते: तस्य वाचं तामेव छन्दस्वतीं अनुसृत्य तत् परं ब्रह्म प्रपद्ये, तद्ब्रह्मवस्तुप्राप्तये तद्वागेव शरणं, तत् प्रधानं करणमिति ॥
COMMENTARY-SUMMARY TRANSLATION
Oh Venerable One, you being Sarasvati, the essence of consciousness, you are Brahma, the manifest one, and great in virtue of your knowledge and delight. As such, you are not to be compared to anybody else. You are beyond all. You are sheer power of consciousness. So, by your knowledgelight, you are united with Brahma. I attain Brahmaṇaspati by following Vàk who is part and parcel of Brahmaṇaspati. To attain Him Vāk alone has to be resorted to.
तृतीया ऋक् । ब्रह्मणस्पते त्वं प्रत्यङ् समात्मन्यधि यदुच्चरसि संविदा प्रचेतनः ॥ ब्रह्मणौता स्वात्म्य सन्दशा संविदाना
वाग् विदा सती बृहती बृहस्पतेः ॥ ३ ॥ पदपाठ :- ब्रह्मणः । पते । त्वम् । प्रत्यङ् । सम् । आत्मनि । अधि ।
यत् । उतऽचरसि । सम्ऽविदा । प्रऽचेतनः॥ ब्रह्मणा । आऽऊता । सुऽआत्म्यम् । सम्ऽदृशा । सम्ऽविदाना ।
वाक् । विदा । सती । बृहती । बृहस्पतैः ॥ Oh Brahmaṇaspati ! you are the inward Soul of every thing. You are the power of consciousness itself and your inspired look is the Våk. Vāk who is a knower is completely united with Brahma and is in full harmony with him through that inspired look. Våk therefore, is the All-pervading power ( Brhati) of the Brahmanaspati.
अन्वयभाष्यम् । हे ब्रह्मणस्पते ! त्वं प्रत्यङ् प्रत्यगात्मस्वरूपः, अधि-आत्मनि अध्यात्मसत्त्वपूर्णे अस्मिन् शरीरे शारीरे च केवलः प्रचेतनः सन् संविदा यदुत्पश्यसि स्वान्तःप्रज्ञानदृगुन्मीलनेन यत् समीक्षसे, तेन ब्रह्मणा परमेण निजेन सात्म्यं तादात्म्यं ओता प्राप्ता सती तत्सन्दृशा सम्यग्दृष्टया स्वयं संविदाना सम्यग् जानाना अनुभवन्ती सती सा वागेव बृहती व्यापका ब्रह्मसत्त्वपूर्णा, बृहस्पतेः तस्य ब्रह्मात्मन: सती अर्धाङ्गभूता परात्मिका शक्तिर्भवतीति ॥
