मुक्तिं च कर्मावरणाद् विमुक्ति
दिदेश चारित्रबलोपलभ्याम् । कर्मानुबन्धो विरमेद् यदा च
क्षीयेत पूर्वश्च तदा हि मुक्तिः ॥ ९७ ॥
કમવરણથી પૂર્ણ મુક્તિ એને મહાવીર મુક્તિ કહે છે. મોહ, અવિદ્યા એ આત્માનાં બન્શન; એનાથી સર્વથા આત્માનું છુટાપણું થવું એજ એની મુક્તિ છે. કર્મના બંધ થતા અટકે અને પૂર્વના બંધ તમામ ક્ષીણ થાય ત્યારે મુક્તિ છે. અને તે ચારિત્ર–બળથી પમાય છે.
He has further taught that the salvation consists in freedom from all the Karmic bonds, and that this salvation is attainable through the strength of pure conduct. When fresh Karmas cease to bind and all the accumulated past Karmas wear away, one attains salvation.
