________________ Iha punnapavapabhava PAÑCALINGĪPRAKARAṆAṀ: 159 suhaduhasamvitti jantuno jamhā | Tā devasuyā ṇāņam suhaduha Asmin punyapapaprabhavā samveyaṇam natthi || 81 || sukhaduḥkhasamvitti jantoh yasmāt Tasmat devasutā jñānam sukhaduḥkha Due to meritorious or sinful acts, samvedanam nāsti || 81 || the soul feels the pleasure or pain | But in Devasutas' views the feeling is nothing but knowledge, again || 81 || 81. In this world, the living beings get pleasurable or painful feelings due to their auspicious or inauspicious nature of karma. This proves that there is a living and conscious soul other than this feeling, which feels. However, in the views of Devasută, this feeling itself is knowledgeable and conscious feeler, any separate conscious elmental entity doesn't exist. It is obvious that this argument is fallacious.
