following request: – That if the King, protector of the poor, would issue orders that during the twelve days of the month Bhodon, called Putchoossur ( which are held by the Jains to be particularly holy), no cattle should be slaughtered in the cities where their tribe reside, they would thereby be exalted in the eyes of the world, tue lives of a number of living animals would be spared, and the actions of His Majesty would be acceptable to God; and as the persous who made this request come from a distance, and their wishes were not at variance with the ordinances of our religion, but on the contrary were similar in effect with those good works prescribed by the venerable and holy Mussalman, we consented, and gave orders that during those twelve days called Putchoossur, no animal should be slaughtered.
___" The present Sunnud is to endure for cver, and all are enjor ined to obey it, and use their endeavours that no one is molested in the performance of bis religious ceremonies.

इसके उपरान्त सूरीश्वर के उपदेशसे कारागार से कैदी लोगों को छोड़ दिया। तथा दृढ़ पञ्जर से पक्षी समूहों को भी छोड़ दिया । राजा ने सूरीश्वर के सामने यह भी कहा कि इस भूमि में जहां तक मेरा आधिपत्य है वहांतक कोई पुरुष मीन मकरादि ज. तचर प्राणियों को भी नहीं मारेगा । यह कहकर राजा ने 'सीकरी के पास 'डाबर' नामका सरोबर जो कि तीन योजन प्रमाण का था, बंद कराया । इस सरोवर से राजा को बहुत द्रव्य की आमदनी होती थी।
