मूलाचार
अर्थ — पिंडादिकी शुद्धि के विना जो तप करता है तथा तप संयमसे जो सदा रहित है उसका चारित्र शुद्ध नहीं होसकता और आवश्यकर्म भी शुद्ध नहीं होसकते चाहे वह बहुतकालका दीक्षित क्यों न हो ॥ ९१७ ॥
मूलं छित्ता समणो जो गिण्हादी य बाहिरं जोगं । बाहिरजोगा सव्वे मूलविद्दणस्स किं करिस्संति ९९८ मूलं छित्त्वा श्रमणो यो गृह्णाति च बाह्यं योगं । बाह्ययोगा सर्वे मूलविहीनस्य किं करिष्यति ।। ९९८ ॥ अर्थ – जो साधु अहिंसादि मूलगुणोंको छेद वृक्षमूलादियो - गौको ग्रहण करता है तो मूलगुणरहित उस साधुके सब बाहिर के योग क्या कर सकते हैं उनसे कर्मों का क्षय नहीं होसकता ॥ ९९८ ॥ हंतूण य बहुपाणं अप्पाणं जो करेदि सप्पाणं । अप्पासु असुहकंखी मोक्खंकंखी ण सो समणो ॥ ९१९ हत्त्वा बहुप्राणं आत्मानं यः करोति सप्राणम् । अप्रासुकसुखकांक्षी मोक्षकांक्षी न स श्रमणः ।। ९१९ ॥ अर्थ — जो साधु बहुत सस्थावरजीवों को मारकर सदोष आहार भोगकर अपने में बल बढाता है वह मुनि अप्रासुकसुखका अभिलाषी है जिससे कि नरकादि गति मिले परंतु मोक्षसुखका बांछक नहीं है ।। ९१९॥
एक्को वा बि तयो वा सीहो वग्घो मयो व खादिजो | जदि खादेज स णीचो जीवयरासिं णितूण ॥ ९२० ॥ एकं वा द्वौ त्रीन् वा सिंहो व्याघ्रो मृगं वा खादयेत् । यदि खादयेत् स नीचो जीवराशिं निहत्य ॥ ९२० ॥
