83. The vow of adattadaan or abstaining from taking what is not given (of gross level) has two divisions (according to Agams) - sachit (infested with living organism) and achit (free of living organism). The sachit include things like salt, etc. and the achit include things like gold, etc. वजह इह तेनाहड तकरजोगं विरुदरजं च। कूडतुलकूडमाणं, तप्पडिरूवं च ववहारं॥ ४ ॥
८४. अदत्तादन विरति के पाँच अतिचार हैं :- १. तस्करों द्वारा लाई गई वस्तु को खरीदना, २. तस्करों के कार्य में सहयोग देना, ३. राज्य शासन के नियमों का अतिक्रमण करना, ४. व्यापार में झठे तोल-माप के द्वारा अधिक लेना और कम देना और ५. वस्तुओं में मिलावट कर व्यापार करना। (श्रावकइनका आचरण न करे।)
84. The five transgressions of this vow of adattadan are - to buy stolen or smuggled goods (1); to offer assistance in the acts of stealing and smuggling (2); to violate the laws of the state (3); to use non-standard weights and measures for cheating others (4); and to resort to adulterating merchandise (5). (A shravak should not indulge in such acts of transgression.)
परदारस्स य विरई, ओरालविउव्वभेयओ दुविहं। एयमिह मुणेयव्वं, सदारसंतोस मो इत्थ ॥ ८५ ॥
८५. स्वपत्नी के अतिरिक्त अन्य व्यक्तियों की स्त्रियों - विधवाओं अथवा वेश्या आदि का त्याग करना स्वदारसन्तोष व्रत कहलाता है। इसके दो भेद हैं :- औदारिक और वैक्रिय।
औदारिक शरीरधारी अर्थात् नारी और तिर्यञ्चि एवं वैक्रिय शरीरधारी अर्थात् विद्याधरी और देवियाँ।
