A Ms. folio, whether palm leaf or paper, which has the main text written in bold letters in one contineous column or divided in to two coloumns: Some times with an illustration in the centre, with out the criticism is called the Akhanda path.
A paper folio with the main text, with out the criticism.
Main text written in bold letters in the centre with two columns of criticism written on either side of it. is called the Tri Patha MS.
Main text written in bold letters in the centre and the criticism written in four columnsin smaller letters on all sides, is called the Pancha patha MS
Folio having an illustration on one side and the main text in bold letters appears to the right is called, main text with illustration.
