Samarsi was born in S. 1206 ( Tod. Vol. I. Annals of Mewár, Chap. V. ) and reign of Samarsi S. 1249 ( Tod. Vol. I. Annals of Mewar, Chap. IV.)
टाड राजस्थान के भाग १ के अध्याय ४, ५, ७ और २६ वें के उपरोक्त लेखों के अनुसार पाटन (गुजरात) में तो भोला भीम, आबू पर्वत पर जैत पँवार, मेवाड़ में समरासिंह, दिल्ली में अनङ्गपाल और अजमेर में पृथ्वीराज चौहान,-मण्डोर के राजा नाहरराव पड़िहार के समकालिक थे । और इन में समरसिंह सं० १२०६ में जन्मे थे और १२४९ तक राज्य कियाथा, अतः ये राजा सं० १२०० और १२५० के बीच में हुये थे। इसलिये यही समय नाहरराव पड़िहार का है।
मारवाड़ के भूगोल का मत.."सं० १२०० के करीब मण्डोर को ( जो साँवत पंवार के हिस्से में आया था उस की औलाद से ) पड़िहारोंने ले लिया। पड़िहारों में नाहरराव पड़िहार बड़ा राजा हुआ । उसने पुष्करजीकी रेत निकलवा कर वहां वाराहजी का मन्दिर बनवाया और एक बड़ा बन्धा बंधाया। नाडसर नाम एक बड़ा तालाब
