100 Then that Somila, on the next day at mid-day time, went to a Sattivanna tree and placed his Kadhiṇasankaiya underneath that Sattivanna tree, and having done so he erected a sacrificial alter (everything else is to be described here cxactly as underneath the As'oka tree, down to ) offered oblations to fire, and wrapped his mouth, after sitting on a wooden seat, and remained silent. Then at mid-night a god appeared before that Somila, and remaining in the sky (everything else is to be described here exactly as underneath the As'oka tree, down to) vanished.
