well known that Rāmånaja fourished in the 11th and 12th cen. taries of the Christian Era, (1018-1197) Sudarsana, his younger contemporary fcurished about the same time but was slightly younger.
Vedāntadebikå occupies perhaps the foremost place in the galaxy of Višiqadvaita writers, Dext only to Rämānuja. He was born in Tūppil, a village pear Kåñciparam in the year 1848 A. D. and lived to a very old age. He is said to have died about 1470. Tradition has it, that he was a contemporary of Sudarkanācārya, author of the Srata prakābika.
