This Vrata is conducted with a view to propitiate Visnu in order to get rid of blindness. Beginning: Colophon: अथातोऽखण्डदीपोद्यापनविधिं व्याख्यास्यामः महानद्यां स्नात्वा नित्यकर्म समाप्य चतुरश्रं मण्डपं कृत्वा तन्मध्ये भारमात्रं धान्यं निक्षिप्य । सङ्कल्प्य मयाचरितस्य कृत्तिकाखण्डदीपस्य सम्पूर्णफलावाप्त्यर्थम् । • End: ब्राह्मणान् भोजयित्वाशिषो वाचयित्वा - कृत्तिकाखण्डदीपोद्यापनाविधिस्समाप्तः ॥ Acharya Shri Kailassagarsuri Gyanmandir -इत्याह भगवान् ब्रह्मा ॥ No. 8167. अनन्तव्रतकथा. The other works herein are Vratarka la, Varalakṣmīvrata 106a, Yamunapuja 109a, Auantavratapůjāvidhana 110a. Almost complete. Relates the story of how the Pandavas, while in exile in the forest, performed the Ananta vrata on the advice of Śrī Kṛṣṇa and got back their kingdom. The Vrata is intended to propitiate the serpent-god Ananta or Adisesa, and may be performed by men as well as women.
