The fly leaf at the beginning gives the name of the owner as Balakrṣnan.
This gives the Tamil alphabet as consisting of 12 vowels, 18 consonants and 216 consonantal syllables. The way in which the letter I and the aspirate are written is noteworthy. This work is also called Neḍunkanakku.
