The work deals with the elucidation and practical application of Suktas and Mantras embodied in the eight Astakas besides furnishing information about Rsi, Chandas, Devata etc., relating to each Kk. A similar work, Sounakoktamrgvidhanam by name, comprising only 485 granthas, is published as a supplement to the 6th volume of Kksamhita with Sayana's Bhisya from Ganapati Krsnaji Press, Bombay. Though both the works deal with the same theme, a concise description of some Rks is furnished by the printed edition unlike the work under reference..
