Works Nos. 535 and 682 are identical but their Mss. are different. Their author Jñanabhuṣaṇa is Digambara, for in No. 682 he has mentioned nine nayas.
In the case of some works, sects of their authors remained unascertained. So one and the same work e. g. #zqqafêzemìan is treated as belonging to different sects. Such a mistake may have been committed so far as Appendices I-III are concerned while classifying works according to sects of their authors.

P. S.-The Curator in his letter dated 8-4-'61 has observed: "According to our scheme all the Vols. of the Descriptive Catalogue end with Vol. XX... we do not wish to change the original Government plan of 20 sections of the Descriptive Catalogue."

Consequently the following portions of the Jaina Catalogue will be henceforth considered as forming a portion of Vol. XIX and not that of Vol. XX as stated in my "Preface" (p. xiii) of Vol. XIX, Pt. I as well as in the preceding pages of this Preface :
(I) Narratives.
(II) Ritualistic works.
(III) Miscellanea.
Section
Hymnology is therefore now treated as Parts I & II of I of Vol. XIX', narratives as 'Section II of Vol. XIX', and rituali stic works along with miscellanea as 'Section III of Vol. XIX. Further, Vol. XIX referred to in earlier pages is to be construed as meaning" Section I of Vol. XIX.
Part II of Vol. XVIII will be now commenced on the comple tion of Section II of Vol. XIX and not as stated on p. vii.
As stated in the Curator's letter dated Sections II & III of Vol. XIX will be each section concerned, and the numbering section will be separate.
