Age.-- The Ms is not very old. Author.-- Ratnakara. Begins.--
ॐनमो गुरवे सरस्वतीरूपाय ॥ वाग्देवीं शिरसा नत्वा वाचो वैचित्र्यहेतवे ।
करोति कश्चिद्गाथानां ध्वनिशास्त्रस्य पञ्जिकाम् ।।
वाच्य विधिरूपे क्वचित्प्रतिषेधरूपो ध्वनिर्यथा etc. Ends--
"गाथानां पजिकां कृत्वा ध्वानशास्त्रस्य यन्मया ।
पुण्यं रत्नाकरेणापि विबुद्धः स्यात्ततो जनः।
समाप्ता ध्वनिगाथापञ्जिका ॥ कृतिरियं काश्मीराचार्यरत्नाकरस्य ।।
श्रीगुरवे सरसतीरूपाय । शुभम् ॥ + ॥ ४ ॥ References.-- I Mss. Aufrecht i, 2736. Report XVII. Bühler makes
the following remarks about this Ms in his Report 1877 :“ Ratnakara's work (No. 253) is a very small one. It contains an explanation of the Prāksta verses used in a work called Dhvanišastra, which the collection does not include." p. 66.
He continues in the foot-note on the same page :-"The only guarantee for the identity of this Ratnakara with the author of the Haravijaya is the statement of the Kaśmirian Pandits, and the epithet Kašmirakācārya given to him in the colophon.”
