Author - The work is ascribed, probably wrongly, to Devanandin. matha Srutakirti whose name occurs on fol. 8a may perhaps be
ii the author of the whole and it is called the work of * Devanandin in that Śrutakirti took the text of the sūtras
from Devanandin and rearranged it in five वस्तुs : संधिवस्तु,
नामवस्तु, सविधि i. e. समासविधिवस्तु, हृद्विधि i. e. तद्धितविधिवस्तु :: and आख्यातवस्तु. A similar confusion of names based-OR
