________________ Preface The manuscripts which have been brought within the purview of this volume cover Sanskrit and Prakrit manuscripts (Accn No. 35075426) deposited in the Chittorgarh branch. Number of entries thus covered comes to 1495. We are extremely grateful to Sarvashri Bansilal Dadhich, Balkrishna Yati, Kanti Sagar Mupi and B. R. Chowdhary for having donated these manuscripts in larger interest. The oldest dated work (A.D 1350) is a commentary on the "Navapada Prakaraņa" of Devagupta Sūri. Important manuscripts have been singled out by the letter "I" put after the serial numbers. Still, some temp ation to name a few here only cannot be resisted. Besides their textual charm the "Adhyātma dvä сatvārimśika" of Siva Candra (3695), the. "Rşimandala-prakarana" (4675), the "Gautama prccha-prakarana” (4733) and the "Raghuvamsa” (3707) bappen to be the autograph copies by the authors or the commentators. The last named contains autograph of Jina Candra Suri (A.D. 1623) who was patronised by the Emperor Akbar. The "Mabärāvala Mularaja Yaśovarṇana” (3916) is a new work, while the Tattva Cintamani Prakāśa" (3796), the “Vicāra sagtrimsika" (3887), the "Amarakośatika" (4677) by Paramapanda Maithila are also rare in their own way. The Catalogue bas been prepared by Dr. D. B, Kshirsagar with due devotion and hard labour. Km. Shashi Sharma and Shri B.K. Singh have prepared the indices, Shri G. B. Dadhich has helped considerably in proof reading. Lastly, Messrs Sadhana Press; Himalaya Printers and Pankaj Printers remain to be thanked. Las P. D. Patbak Director
