Āchārya Yativrishabha (6th century A.D.) wrote churni sutras on it in 6000 slokas. Thereafter, in the 9th century A.D., Āchārya Virasena wrote an exhaustive commentary on it in 20000 slokas; this was, however, completed by his pupil Jinasena by the addition of another 40000 slokas. This commentary is known as the Jayadhavala,
