Introduction. Generalities on the Kumarapalacaritra. This poem is in Prākrit and consists of 8 cantos. It constitutes the last part of Dryāśvayamahakavya, the first twenty cantos of which are in Sanskrit. It has the object of relating the history of the princes af Anahilvad-Patan, particularly of Kumārapāla and at the same time to illustrate the Prākrit grammar of Hemacandra. The first part of the Kumārapalacarita was commented by Abhayalilakagani, and the 8th canto by Pūrņakalasagani, disciple of Jinacandrasuri. Analysis of the Kumārapalacarita.
