Violence in words and violence in thought are also constituents of Himsa and one must abstain from these too. Jainism wants to make people gentlemen who have no tendency to do violence to any body. 'Parigraha parimana vrata' or the vow of setting a limit to the maximum wealth that one would possess. The aim of Jainism is to avoid as far as possible, undesirable clashes in life and consequent disharmony in society. This is a very quiet and peaceful attempt at economic equalisation of wealth. Karma Theory-every individual works out his own destiny by his own mental and physical exertions which, by themselves generate energies that bring to them agreeable or disagreeable experie nces. The Jainas worship Tirthankaras or those who made it easy for others to cross over the ocean of life. In Jainism, there is no place for the distinction of caste and creed.
