Gandhian Experiments in Context to our Present day problems

Gandhi ji has been a great reformer, through his saintly behaviour he brought forth remarkable changes in the religion and social thinking of masses. Some of his ideas and experiments are outlined below:
1. Education. Revolutionized the British pattern of education by suggesting the system of 'Basic Education' to our youth. He thought that education should be profession oriented. His ideas regarding education at Primary and High School level are correct and provide solution for the present day meaningless experiments in our educational policies. Science and Biology curriculum of High School is very much lopsided.
2. Rural uplift. Education in primary and secondary stages should be character and religion oriented. Twentieth century is the age of urbanization and industrialization. The rural life is completely changed. Human Environment is very much changed in Urban & Industrial Complexes. Problems of congestion has changed the quality of man.
Gandhi's idea of rural uplift will certainly solve many of the environmental problems arising out of our modern urbanization. In order to divert the rush from rural to urban
