[5] Exceptional Powers, Fascinating Feats,
Excellent Treat & Marvellous Accurcy. This is to certify that Mr. Dhirajlal Tokershi Shah possesses exceptional powers of concentration, of attaention, and can show fascinating feats of memory in public before audiences interested in such feats. He gave an excellent treat to a meeting under the auspices of the Baroda Sahitya Sabha on 8-8-1934. He could reproduce with marvellous accuracy sentences of which disconnected portions were given to him while arithmetical figures also were being so given, and while he was listening to a story in a similar way, and attending to names of birds mentioned to him and words from languages like Sanskrit and French, and minding several other items to be remembered in a similar way. Such things mentioned to him in any awkward, disorderly way one after the other were in the end reproduced before the audience in the proper order, while his attention had interruptions in story-telling and story-listening in the middle.
I attended to feats of memory performed by different men on different occasions, but I was never so well impressad on previous occasions as I was on this occasion when I saw Mr. Shah's feats. Mr. Shah deserves recognition and encouragement by all who feel interested in the Avadhan Prayogas (Feats of memory and concentration).
