मुनिश्री आत्मारामनी तथा चिकागो सर्वधर्म परिषद्
जटिल प्रश्नों को युक्तियुक्त समझा कर परिषद् में भेजने के लिये तैयार कर दिया। श्रीयुत वीरचंद भाई परिषद् में सम्मिलित होने के लिये श्री गुरुदेव के प्रतिनिधि की हैसीयत से अमरीका के लिये प्रस्थान कर गये । जाते हुवे गुरुदेव ने अपना निबंध ( जो " चिकागो प्रश्नोत्तर " के नाम से पुस्तकरूप में छप चुका हैं ) उन्हें पढ़ने के लिये दिया । परिषद् १९ दिवस तक होती रही । सब से प्रथम दिवस में उद्घाटन क्रिया के बाद हर एक प्रतिनिधि ने संक्षिप्त में अपना परिचय दिया । श्रीयुत वीरचंद गांधी ने अपना परिचय इस प्रकार दिया:
. “ I represent Jainism, a faith older than Buddhism, similar to it in its ethics, but different from it in its psychology, and professed by a million and a half of India's most peaceful and law abiding citizens.
I will, at present, only offer on behalf of my community and their high priest, Muni Atmaramji, whom I especially represent here, our sincere thanks for the kind welcome you have given us. This spectacle of the learned leaders of thought and religion meeting together on a common platform and throwing light on religious problems, has been the dream of Atmaramji's life. He has commissioned me to say to you that he offers his most cordial congratulations on his own behalf and on behalf of the Jain community for your having achieved the consummation of the grand idea of convening a Parliament of Religions. "
अर्थात्–“ मैं जैनधर्म का प्रतिनिधि हूं, जैनमत बुद्ध धर्म से प्राचीन, चारित्रधर्म में उस से मिलता जुलता परन्तु अपने दार्शनिक विचारों में उस से भिन्न है आजकल इस धर्म के अनुयायी भारतवर्ष में पंद्रह लाख बड़े शान्त और नियमबद्ध जीवनवाले प्रजाजन हैं ।
मैं इस समय अपनी समाज की ओर से और उसके महान् गुरु मुनि आत्मारामजी की ओर से आप लोगों के इस आतिथ्य सत्कार का धन्यवाद करता हूं । धार्मिक तथा दार्शनिक विद्वानों का एक ही प्लेटफारम पर इकट्ठे होकर धार्मिक विषयों पर प्रकाश डालने का यह दृश्य मुनि आत्मारामजी के जीवन का एक स्वप्न था । गुरुदेव ने मुझे आज्ञा दी है
