that the exhibition of the Ratnavyúha took place long after the birth of the *sage. It was to gratify the congregation that the exhibition was mado; but it did not form a part of the narrative of the occurrences at the timo of gestation. Thoshilition is in one respects the counterpart ot the inicrocosm exhibited by Krishma to Arjona in the Bhagavarlgitá. Its display, how the sap could command Brahmá to carry out his behosts.
