CHAPTER 1.-MAPS, VIEWS, AND PLANS.
FRONTISPIECE-MAP OF MATHURA. This map is a reproduction of Plate I in Volume III of Cunningham's "Archeological Survey Reports" and is the best available, though not, I believe, quite accurate. It shows the position of the principal mounds, but omits many of the smaller ones. Small mounds are numerous between the Kankalf and tho Chaubara ruins.
