The philosophy of Mahavira begins with awakening and culminates into awakening That which links the two phases is again awakening An iota of indolence would devastate this everconsciousness The two are absolutely incompatible
Mahashataka was engaged in meditation at his place of worship His wife Rewati was utterly cruel She tried to distract him but failed Rewati repeated her mischief a few days later. It so happened that Mahashataka got annoved at it He reprimanded and cursed her, 'Rewati You will die of cholera this very week Inferno awaits you after your death'
