Gandai flowed between Vesali and Vāniyagama. Mahāvīra is stated to have crossed this river while going to Väniyagama from Vesāli. 188

Gandhārama kingdom
The kingdom of Gandhára is mentioned at several places in Jain texts. It is said that a layman (savaga) journeyed from Gandhāra to Virbhaya to pay reverence to the sandalwood idol of Mahāvīra which was in possession of king Udāyana.226

Gargā—a river
The Gangā is counted among the five great rivers.228
It is stated that Bharata built the shrines of the Athats on the mountain Atthāvaya To protect these shrines Janhukumāra, the eldest son of Sagara, made a moat around the mountain and filled it with water of the Ganges, and hence the Ganges came to be known as Janhuvi But it is said that this water filled the dwellings of the Nāgas, and the Nāga kings blazing with anger burnt the sons of Sagara to death. Later on, Bhagiratha, the son of Janhukumăra removed this water and hence the Ganges came to be known as Bhagirathi."20
Gargamandıra-a mountain
It is said that Vinhukumāra practised penance on this mountain. He is said to have reached Hatthinapura from here by air. 130
