सोमसेनभट्टारकविरचित... मंत्र:-ॐ पुलोमजापल्या सार्ध यथा पाकशासनस्य अमा रोहिण्या देव्या जैवातकस्यैव यथा कन्दर्पदेवस्य साकं रत्या देव्या सम्बन्धस्तथा कल्याणसम्पाप्तयोवधूवरयोरनयोः करोतु सम्बन्धं वन्धमाला तनोतु भाग्यं सौभाग्यं च शान्ति कार्ति दीर्घमायुष्यमपत्यानां बहूनां लब्धि चापि दद्यात् ।
इन दोनों दंपतियोंका संबंध ऐसा हो जैसा इंद्र और शचीका, तथा कामदेवका और रतिका । " ॐ पुलोमजा पल्या सार्धं ॥ इत्यादि मंत्र पढ़कर उपाध्याय वधू और वरको आशीर्वाद .. देवे ।। १६२ ॥
माला-बंधन मंत्र । ॐ भार्यापत्योरेतयोः परिणति प्राप्तयोस्तुरीये घने नक्तं वेलायां वैतासपर्यायाश्व तौ सम्बध्येते सम्बन्धमाला अतो लब्धिर्वह्वपत्यानां द्राघीयं आयुश्चापि भूयात् ।
अनेन कन्यावरयोः कण्ठे मालारोपणम् । इति मालामन्त्रः । "ॐ भायर्यापत्योरेतयोः" इत्यादि ऊपर लिखा मंत्र पढ़कर चौथे दिनकी रात्रिके समय वधू और वरको माला पहनावें।
सुहोमावलोकः पुनमगलीयं, ससूत्र क्रमाद्वन्धयेत्कण्ठदेशे । स्वसम्बन्धमालापरीवेष्टनं च, सुकर्पूरगोशीर्पयोर्लेपनं च ॥ १६३ ॥ .
प्रथम होम करे । फिर कन्याके गलेमें वर ताली बांधे । अनन्तर उपाध्याय वर-वधूको माला पहनावे । पश्चात् नियोगी जन दोनोंके कपूर और गोरोचनाका लेप करें ॥ १६३ ॥
वधूभिर्युपात्तार्यपात्राभिराभिः, भवेशो वरस्यैव तद्वच वध्वाः । शुभे मण्डपे दक्षिणीकृत्य तं वै, मंदायाच नागस्य साक्षाद्वलिं च ॥ १६४ ॥
जिन सुहासिनियोंने अर्घपात्र (आरती) हाथमें लिया है वे वर और वधूको मंडपकी प्रदक्षिणा दिलाकर उसके अन्दर ले जावें । वहां पूर्वोक्त कमलके आठ पत्तोंपर खिचे हुए नागोंको बलिप्रदान करें ॥ १६४॥
स्वपितृगोत्रमुचिन्हितमण्डले हयसमीपे वधूमपि दर्शयेत् । .. .

सताम्बूलसत्तण्डुलैः पीत एच, च्युतं कंकणं स्थापयेत्सूत्रकं च ॥ १६६ ॥ . - उपाध्यायके बुलानेपर वर-वधू उसके समीप आवें । आकर अपने अपने आसनोंपर बैठे । वहीं : पर तांबूल और तंडुलके साथ कंकण-मोचन विधिके द्वारा खोले हुए.कंकण सूत्रको रक्खे . ॥१६६॥
