तृतीयस्थाने यवशरावमग्रे निघाय पूर्वोक्तशस्त्रशेषैथ- 'ॐ ह्रीं नमः आचार्यपरमेष्ठिने मम पुत्रो निष्क्रान्तिमुण्डभागी भवतु स्वाहा । ' इत्युक्त्वा केशान् संधि पूर्ववत्कुर्यात् ।
तीसरे स्थानके केश कतरते समय जयके दियेको बालकके सामने रखकर पहले की तरह सुरा वगैरह हाथमें लेकर 'ॐ नमः आचार्य परमोष्टने ' इत्यादि मंत्र पढ़कर केशोंको कतरकर पहले की तरह सारी विधि करे ।

द्वितीयस्थाने शमीपलपात्रं निधाय शस्त्रशेपैथ - ॐ हौं नमः सर्व साधुपरमेष्ठिने मम पुत्रः परमराज्यकेशभागी भवतु स्वाहा । इत्युक्त्वा पूर्ववत्कुर्यात् ।
दूसरे स्थानके केश कतरते समय शमीपक्षके पत्तोंके दियेको बालक के सामने रखकर छुरा गैर हाथमें लेकर 'ॐ नमः सर्वसाधुपरमेष्ठिने ' इत्यादि मंत्र पढ़कर पूर्वोक्त सारी विधि करे ।
तत्रोष्णोदकेन केशान् प्रक्षाल्य - ॐ -हीं पञ्चपरमेष्ठिप्रसादात् केशान्वय शिरो रक्ष कुशली कुरु नापित । इत्युक्त्वा नापिताय पिता क्षुरं दद्यात् । नापितोऽपि ' भवदीप्सितार्थो भवतु ' इत्युक्त्वा शिखां परिरक्ष्य शेषकेशान् मुण्डयेत् । ततस्तान् केशान् क्षीरघृतधान्यगोमयपात्राणि च महावाद्यविभवेन नद्यां क्षिपेत् । ततः कुमारं स्नापयित्वा भूपणैरलंकृत्य गृहमानी यक्षादीनामर्घ्य दत्वा पुण्याहवाचनैः पुनः सिंचयित्वा सज्जनान् भोजयेत् ।
बाकी बचे हुए केशको गर्म जलसे धोकर “ ॐ वहीं पश्वपरमेष्ठि ० " इत्यादि मंत्र पड़कर बालकका पिता वह छुरा नाईको दे देवे । नाई भी ' आपका अभीप्सित हो' ऐसा कहकर चोटी छोड़कर बाकीके केशोंका मुंडन करे । इसके बाद उन केशोंको और दूध, घी, धान्य तथा गोमयके दियों को भारी गाजे बाजे के साथ नदीमें प्रवाहित करे। बाद बालकको स्नान कराकर बस्त्र - आभूषणसे अलंकृत करे और घरमें लाकर यक्ष आदिको अर्ध देकर पुण्याहवचनोंद्वारा पुनः बालकका सेचन कर सज्जनोंको भोजन करावे ।

Then the father should give the razor to the barber. The barber should say "Bhavad Ipsitartho Bhavatu" and shave the remaining hair, leaving the tuft. Then, place the hair, milk, ghee, grains, and cow dung lamps in a river with great fanfare. After bathing the child, adorn him with clothes and ornaments. Bring him home and offer oblations to the Yakshas and other deities. Then, perform a purification ceremony and feed the guests.
