सोमसेनभट्टारकविरचितस्त्रीके ऋतुस्लान होनेपर जो पुरुप उस स्त्रीके पास नहीं जाता है वह अपने माता पिताक साथ साथ भ्रूणहत्याके घोर पापमें डूबता है । भावार्थ-कितने ही लोग ऐसी बातों आपत्ति करते हैं । इसका कारण यही है कि वे आजकल स्वराज्यके नसेमें चूर हो रहे हैं । अतः हरएकको समानता देनेके आवेशमें आकर उस क्रियाके चाइनेवाले लोगोंको भड़काकर अपनी ख्याति-पूजा आदि चाहते हैं । उन्होंने धार्मिक विषयांपर आघात करना ही अपना मुख्य कर्तव्य समझ लिया है ॥ ४९ ॥
ऋतुस्नाता तु या नारी पतिं नैवोपविन्दति ।
शुनी की शृगाली स्याच्छ्करी गर्दभी च सा ॥ ५० ॥ ___ जो स्त्री ऋतुस्नान कर पतिके पास नहीं जाती है वह मरकर कुत्ती, भेड़ या हिरनी, शृगालिनी (सियारनी ), शूकरी और गदही होती है ॥ ५० ॥
कामयज्ञमिति माहुर्गृहिणां सर्वदैव च ।
अनेन लभते पुत्रं संसारार्णवतारकम् ॥५१॥ ऊपर यह जो गर्भाधानको विधि बताई गई है उसे गृहस्थोंका कामयज्ञ कहते हैं। इस विधिसे पिता संसार-समुद्रसे तारनेवाला पुत्र प्राप्त करता है ।। ५१ ॥
मोद क्रिया। गर्भे स्थिरेऽथ सञ्जाते मासे तृतीयके ध्रुवम् । .
प्रमोदेनैव संस्कार्यः क्रियामुख्यः प्रमोदकः ॥ ५२ ॥ इस तरह गर्भ रह जानेपर तीसरे महीने बड़े हर्पके साथ मोदनामकी दूसरी क्रिया करे ॥ ५२ ॥
तृतीये गर्भसंस्कारो मासे पुंसवनं च सः।
आधगर्भो न विज्ञातः प्रथमे मासि वै यदि ॥ ५३॥ यदि पहले महीने में गर्भवतीका पहला गर्भ न जाना जाय तो तीसरे महीनेमें गर्भसंस्कार करे । वही संस्कार पुरुषचिन्हसे युक्त होता है ॥ ५३ ॥
तैलाभ्यङ्गं जलैरादौ गर्भिणी स्नापयेच्च ताम् । अलङ्कृत्य च सद्वस्त्रैः करे फलं समर्पयेत् ॥ ५४ ।। उपलेपं. शरीरे तु संस्कुर्याचन्दनादिना।
पूर्ववद्धोमसत्कार्य जिनपूजापुरःसरम् ॥ ५५ ॥ प्रथम उस गर्भवती स्त्रीके तेलकी मालिश कर जलसे स्नान करावे । उसे अच्छे अच्छे कपड़ोंसे अलंकृत करे । उसके हाथमें एक फल दे । उसके शरीरमें चन्दन, केशर आदिका उपलेप-चर्चन करे । फिर पहलेकी तरह जिनपूजा, होमादि सम्पूर्ण कार्य करे ॥ ५४-५५ ॥
