છે
सम्पद्यते न कल्याणं ज्ञानिनो ज्ञानमात्रतः। किन्तु तत्फलभूतेन सम्यक्चारित्रतेजसा ।।
* જ્ઞાનીનું કલ્યાણ ફક્ત એના જ્ઞાનથી થઈ શકતું નથી, પણ જ્ઞાનનું ફળ જે સમ્યક ચારિત્ર (સમ્યક જ્ઞાનના આધાર પર પ્રવર્તમાન જે સમ્યક ચારિત્ર) તેનાથી થાય છે. ૬
* He who is possessed of great knowledge, is not able to get his spiritual welfare on the strength of his mere knowledge, but he can obtain that by right conduct originated from right knowledge 6
