thunders in the sky; it is (thus) a great hardship to those who intend to leave their home on the evening of a rainy season. Here खुडुक्कइ and घुटुक्कs are देशी forms which are approximately rendered into sk as शल्यायते and गर्जति. अयोधरौ वज्रमय नित्यं यौ संमुखौ तिष्ठतः ।
मम कान्तस्य समराङ्गणके गजघटाः भक्त्वा यातः ॥

“ O mother, my breasts are adamantine as they always stand in front of my husband and meet him after having broken the array of elephants on the battle field. " भज्जिउ, an Absolutive, see 439 below.
पुत्रेण जातेन को गुणः अपगुणः कः मृतेन ।
यद् पैतृकी (बप्पीकी) भूमि: आक्रम्यतेऽपरेण ॥
"What is the gain by the birth of a son? what is the loss if he dies ? when the ancestral property ( land ) is being appropriated by another. " Here बप्पीकी and चंपिज्जइ are of देशी origin; compare बाप and चापणें, चोपणें in Marathi.
तत् तावत् जलं सागरस्य स तावान् विस्तारः ।
तृषः निवारणं पलमपि नैव पर शह्वायते असारः ॥

" So much water the ocean has; so vast is its extent ; thirst however, is not even a little ( पलमपि ) quenched ; only it thunders for nothing. थुइ OF घुदुइ is ध्वनिं करोति. com - pare : निःसारस्य पदार्थस्य प्रायेणाडम्बरो महान् । न सुवर्णे ध्वनिस्तादृग् यादृक्कास्ये प्रजायते ॥
396-399 and 410-412. These sutras treat of the phonetic changes in the अपभ्रंश.
396. In अपभ्रंश non-conjunct and non-initial क, ख, त, थ, प, फ, occurring after a vowel are repectively changed to ग, घ, द, ध, ब, भ.

क = ग. यद् दृष्टं सोमग्रहणमसतीभिः हसितं निःशंकम् । प्रियमनुष्यविक्षोभकरं गिल गिल राहो मृगाङ्गम् ॥
"When the unchaste women saw the eclipse of the moon, they laughed fearlessly, (and said, ) o Rahu, do, do swallow the moon that agitates the beloved person." Here विच्छोहरु stands for विक्षोभकरं.
