को नयाजीवन प्रदान किया और उन्होंने मेवाड़ के गौरव की रक्षा की। इस तरह की अनेक घटनाएँ इतिहास के पृष्ठों पर उल्लिखित हैं जिनसे प्रतीत : होता है कि राजस्थान के भव्य इतिहास में जैनजाति का कितना बड़ा महत्व . है। जैनजाति के नररत्नों ने राजस्थान के राजवंश का जो गौरव बढ़ाया है. उसके उपलक्ष में उन्हें मिले हुये विशेषाधिकारों के आज्ञापत्रों से यह प्रकट . होता कि इनकी सेवाओं का उस समय कितना भारी महत्व रहा है । इन जैन वीरों के उज्ज्वल चरित्रों और शभकृत्यों से राजस्थान का इतिहास देदीप्य-. . मान बना है।
कर्नल जेम्स टॉड ने सन् १८२६ में Anna's of Rajasthan" जेम्स टॉड का अभिप्राय एकएक में लिखा है:--
