The Jains all over India are extremely gratified to learn of the assemblage of the world pacifists in our... country, since Jainism has been preaching from times immemorial that peace, progress and prosperity can be achiered by the golden path of pacifism, in other words by by the sublime doctrine of Ahimsa-non-voilence. The life-blood of the sacred principle is foster ing genuine feeling of respect for life. True pacifism not only treats human figures of different nationalities as brothers, but it extends the selfsame idea of fellow-feeling towards all creatures, whether mute or otherwise. The, basic idea underneath the ideal.
