2. PLAN OF THE WORK. According to the scheme sanctioned the present edition of the Deśínāmamālā consists of the following parts -
PART I ( Volume I). 1. A critical edition of the text and commentary of the Deginamamālā of Hemacandra with an Introduction, 2. Index to the text and commentary.
PART II ( Volume II). 1. An English translation of the text and extracts from Hemacandra's Commentary.
2. Appendix to Part II.-A complete Glossary of Dest words found not only in the Deśīnāmamālā but in Prakrit literature generally with references, derivation and meanings in English of each word.
It is an entirely original work and a contribution to the Philology of the modern Indo-Aryan Vernaculars. 3. SHARE OF WORK OF THE EDITOR, OF PANDIT HARA

Part I. My esteemed friend and colleague, Pandit Hara Govinda Das T. Seth has helped in selecting the readings of the text from the MSS. and from Pischel's edition. Pandit Virabhadra Vyakaranatirtha as an Assistant prepared the press copy of the text and the Index. Mr. Prabhatkumar Mukherjee, M.A., as an Assistant has corrected the proofs. He has also collected some materials for the Introduction and prepared the lists of Improved readings of the Gāthās in the commentary and of Corrections. I am responsible
