________________ a ccount of the leading Oswal families, who have left behind some lasting monuments to posterity. A bibliography on Jaisalmer has also been prepared and will be found after appendix B. I have received much help from the Bibliography on Jaisalmer published in Rajputana Gazetteer Vol. III A. Page 39 ( 1909 ) and from the general Biblio. graphical list on Rajputana in the revised edition of Col. Tod's "The Arrals and Antiquities of Rajputana" by William Crooke ( 1920 ). The yolume contains five appendices after the text showing : (1) the different dates, (2) names of sovereigns and ruling princes, (3) list of clans and gotras, ( 4 ) names of gachhas with list of Acharyas, (5) places of consecration &c., found in the inscriptions. These appendices will be found very useful for reference. The plates of the important inscriptions and other interesting views have been prepared and inserted in their proper places in the text. I do sincerely hope that the collection will be welcomed both here in India and outside. 48, INDIAN MIRROR STREET, Calcutta, February 1929. P. C. NAHAR. "Aho Shrut Gyanam
