मात्महिताग्देशः સંસારના વિષયોમાં જે સુખ છે તે દુઃખથી મિશ્રિત છે. વિવેકબુદ્ધિને એ સુખ પૃહણીય ન હોય. આત્માની શુદ્ધ ચૈતન્યશક્તિની પરમ વિકાસ-દશામાં જે નિર્મળ સુખ પ્રગટે છે તે બુદ્ધિમાનને અભિષ્ટ હોય છે. ૯
In the enjoyment of worldly pleasures, we do experience happiness, but that baļpiness is always mixed with pain. Who would prefer such sort of happiness if he has senze cnongh to understand whertin erduring bappiness lies The wise prefer that happiness wbici is un mixed with pain and which cosicists in the perfect evolution and clivation of the powers of the soul. 9
न दक्षताऽयो प्रविनाशिशर्मणे व्युच्छेदनं शाश्वतशर्मवर्मनः । तृष्णा-प्रवाहं विनिरुध्य चेत ऽऽनन्दानुभूती यतनं तु दक्षता ॥ १० ॥
સંસારના મોહચેષ્ટારૂપ વિનશ્વર સુખ માટે પવિત્ર શ્રેષ્ઠ શાશ્વત સુખના માગને ભૂંસી નાંખવે એ કયાંની બુદ્ધિમાની? મેહમય તૃષ્ણાને નિરોધ કરી આમિક શુદ્ધતાને ઉજવલ સુખની અનુભૂતિની દિશામાં પ્રયત્નશીલ થવું એ જ ખરી સમજદારી છે. ૧૦
It is not wise to wipe out the path leading to tternal happiness for the sake of enjoyment of transient worldiy pleasures. Wisdom lies in puttinz a check to the current of sensual desires and in striving for achieving Spiritual knowleige und eternal joy. 10
नान्यव्यपेक्षा सुखसिद्धिरस्ति प्रतीयते यद्यपि किन्तु तुच्छा। અનરજિસુરારિ નિ વિવિવાણિત હવા ! | ??!!
