the right manner. They do not speak the truth that harms others. They may even utter a lie that helps somebody. They know that the welfare of humanity is the main objective of speech. A wise man always acts according to this sukthi (epigram): सत्यं ब्रूयात् प्रियं ब्रूयात् ।
न ब्रूयात् सत्यमप्रियम् ॥ Sathyam bruyath, priyam bruyath
Na bruyath sathyamapriyam | Speak the truth; but speak the truth that is helpful and agreeable to others. Do not speak the truth that is disagreeable or harmful, This is an eternal principle of conduct (Dharma).
