(2) No animal which - Gi) is pregnant, or (ii) has an offspring less than three months old, or (iiilis under the age of three months or (iv) has not been certified by a veterinary doctor that it is in a fit condition to be slaughtered. Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (PCA) Act, 1960- Chapter 3, section 11 If any person- 1 (a) beats, kicks, over-rides, over-drives, over-loads, tortures or otherwise treats any animal so as to subject it to unnecessary pain or suffering or causes, or being the owner permits, any animal to be so treated; Old and sick cows are left untreated to die. They are sold dead or alive to slaughter houses.
