After nine months and seven days of pregnancy, the birth of the Lord of the Lords, Bhagavān Rṣabha Deva was marked with many wonderful and divine signs including the cleaning of the air in all directions, filling up of the entire universe with a wave of peace - even the denizens of hells experiencing its electric thrill for a passing moment – and the quivering of the thrones of the lords of the devas announcing the birth of the Most Worshipful Supreme Lord.

Lord Rṣabhanatha was born in Ayodhya, on the ninth day of the dark half of the month of Caitra - caitra krisna navami.
He was born in the third period (suṣama-duṣama) of the present descending (avasarpiņi) half-cycle when 84 lakh pūrva, 3 years and 82 months were remaining for the start of the fourth period (duṣama-suṣamā).
His height was 500 dhanusa*.
Lord Rṣabhanatha lived for 84 lakh pūrva out of which 20 lakh pūrva were spent as youth (kumārakāla), and 63 lakh pūrva as the King (rajyakāla).
