The whole of the final clause of this section, about the fire Visnâsp, is inserted parenthetically at this point in the Pahlavi text. Elsewhere called Gasnasp, Gæsnâsp, or GQsasp (see Szs. VI, 22). ? The most obvious reading of this word is mâhîk, fish,' which can hardly be reconciled with the context.
