Man then again enters into the great Machinery (of Evolution), from which all things come forth (at birth), and which they enter at death 1.' 1 A much larger paragraph from which this must have been abbreviated, or which must have been enlarged from this, is found in the first Book of Lieh-zze's works (pp. 4, 5).
