(२) तत्थ संतयं संतएणं उवमिज्जइ, जहा-संता अरहंता संतएहि पुरवरेहिं संतएहि कवाडएहि संतएहिं वच्छएहिं उवमिजंति, तं जहा
पुरवर-कवाड-वच्छा फलिहभूया दुंदुभि-स्थणियघोसा।
सिरिवच्छंकियवच्छा सव्वे वि जिणा चउव्वीसं ॥१॥ (२) जब सद् वस्तु को सद् वस्तु से उपमित किया जाता है, वह इस प्रकार है___ सद्प अरिहत भगवन्तों के प्रशस्त वक्षस्थल को सद्प श्रेष्ठ नगरों के सत् कपाटों की उपमा देना, जैसे-सभी चौबीस जिन-तीर्थकर प्रधान-उत्तम नगर के (तोरणद्वार-फाटक के कपाटों के समान वक्षस्थल, अर्गला के समान भुजाओं, देवदुन्दुभि या स्तनित-(मेघ गर्जना) के समान स्वर और श्रीवत्स (स्वस्तिक विशेष) से अंकित वक्षस्थल वाले होते हैं ॥१॥ ANALOGY OF SAT TO A SAT ___ (2) The (examples of) analogy of a sat (existent) thing to a sat (existent) thing are as follows.
To give analogy of the existing gates of great cities to the prominent chest of existent Arhants (Tirthankars) as--All the twenty four Jinas (Tirthankars) have chests like the (doors of) main gates of a great city, arms like (their) door-bolt, voice like sound of drums (alike the rumbling of clouds) and are embellished with the Srivatsa mark (a specific auspicious sign). सद्-असद् रूप औपम्यसंख्या
(३) संतयं असंतएणं उवमिज्जइ जहा-संताई नेरइय-तिरिक्खजोणिय-मणूसदेवाणं आउयाइं असंतएहि पलिओवम-सागरोवमेहिं उवमिजंति।
(३) विद्यमान पदार्थ को अविद्यमान पदार्थ से उपमित करना। जैसे–नारक, तिर्यच, * मनुष्य और देवो की विद्यमान आयु के प्रमाण को अविद्यमान पल्योपम और सागरोपम
द्वारा बतलाना।
